    My waters were miconium stained all three times. The first time my baby was in distress, and needed to be resusitated after she was born. The other two times, nothing occurred - just nice quick "easy" births.

    I wouldn't risk not going straight in, because you just never know... Odds are you will probably not have anything to worry about, but there is always a chance that you might.

    #2 I had miconium. I waited half hour and changed a pad to double check it was miconium before I rang hospital.
    But would definetly not delay too long before ringing them.

    Bubs wasn't distressed, just a week late and I think taking her first dump. Possibly a reaction to me working ard to get her out all that day. The midwives are able to tell you if it is a new stain or old stain, mine was new, it had occured very recently so bubs had not been wallowing in it for long, I think the big concern is if it happended some time before the waters rupture.
