I didn't know about it but I wish I had. Can't say for sure I would have done it, but i would definitely have been intereseted in learning more about it.
Having read a couple of accounts of lotus birth though, it would have been a toss up which way to go... and I'd probably lean towards a lotus birth.

    Just out of curiosity...

Do those against it realise that you're not sitting down at the table with a slice of raw placenta?

Are you aware that the placenta in dried (just like you would your fruits or beef jerky), sliced in small pieces and then put into ingesitable capsules?

I just think there is some confusion about the actual ingestion.

I'm not trying to push the subject either way, just clarifying

Yes I know what encapsulation is... no I still wouldn't do it without some solid evidence.

I know it's dried etc but I wouldn't do it. To each their own but it's not for me.

yay lulu, so glad she could do it for you.

as far as evidence goes, I don't need it from a science lab. I spoke to people and read many stories about it. every single one positive. that was enough for me. I never wanted to go back to where I was after ds1, the thought petrified me and because of that I was willing to try anything.I couldn't do it myself though.

I cannot even begin to explain the difference I am feeling this time round, even from when I was pregnant. Its not that I just don't feel depressed, I feel motivated, I have energy, I don't just cope raising my children, I enjoy it. I can feel the difference when I don't take it. that's all the evidence I need.

Don't really know much about it, but since I don't plan on having more kids in the foreseeable future, it's not really relevant to me anyway.

^^ Yup, exactly this! (if and when I have another baby that is )

Eta: In this weeks Famous Magazine, there is an article about actress January Jones doing just this, she said it's just like taking a vitamin and attributes her post baby regimen to it. Glad to hear that this is getting some media coverage.
