I don't have any experience with c-sections, but I remember from my last pregnancy sharp pains in that area when I moved the wrong way or picked up something too heavy etc. Hopefully that's all it is.
I have had 3 caesarean sections. 2006,2007 and mid 2009. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with our 4th baby. When i sneezed i had an imense pain at the site of my caesarean scar but it felt like on the inside like a pulling or tearing feeling. Best way to describe it. I'm really worried i might of ruptured something and don't know what to do? pain lasted a few minutes but now pretty much gone. Any ideas on what this could be? please help. Has anyone experienced this or know what it could be? PLEASE!!!![]()

I have had 2 c-sections and remember my Ob telling me that after 6 months the scar is fully healed, so since your last one was mid 2009 you would hope there would be no worries at all with this pregnancy and the scar rupturing. Also, I always get really sharp pains when coughing or sneezing in early pregnancy, I was told it is the round ligament of the uterus stretching. Definitely had a few earlier on during this pregnancy, and it is intense for a second then goes away. I would think that if there was any rupturing of your scar you would still be in pain. Of course, if you're worried, ring your Ob or go to the hospy! Good luck, HTH
Its just muscular pain. I've had 2 sections, and in the following three pregnancies after my first section, I have always had pain. Even during this pregnancy (2 years after my last c-section) I still have that pain. Yes its really painful and feels like someone is cutting you right across your belly, its such a sharp pain. But, its just the muscles moving and stuff around the scar tissue.
All is goodI would assume that if you were rupturing you would be bleeding, so if you're not - all is good!
Never had a c-section yet I get a sharp pain while sneezing, coughing or moving the wrong way anyway. mine usually last a few minutes but my OB was saying it's normal.
