Ok, I have been having the worst pre-labour to date. It will start, it will get going, it will keep me up, have me getting there... then she pulls back. Seriously. I will go from low, being able to bend over and heading steadily towards 5m apart.. and then it just stops and she is under my ribs.
Next day she will head back down and we do it all again.
Tonight she is killing my back, which she hasnt done prior. Is it possible that she is not getting into position right so pulling back and trying again?
It really does sound like she isn't in the best possie for birth. I wouldn't mind betting that she is OP and can't quite get low enough onto the cervix to really kick things off. Go and check out www.spinningbabies.com and get onto some positioning techniques.
my DD was posterior and we had three weeks of that - drove me bonkers. I saw a chiro to help and in the end had an ARM after I was overdue and 4cm dilated. in the end after the waters were broken she turned for the first hour - very uncomfortable feeling and then the contractions got down to 1 min apart and she was born and hour and a half later right way round. I would def try the spinning babies website! Great info there and especially trick to help if labour is stalling but we believe DD was the way she was due tpo placenta position and having a very short cord so sometimes it doesn't work but I cetainly used the exercises in labour to help her turn
The fact that you had some pelvic issues this pg and the long prelabour does indicate malpositiong to me (you know my story Leah was the most awkwardly positioned bub) but that doesnt mean that anything will go badly. It is infuriating and uncomfortable while it lasts though. I agree with the PPs, try spinning babies. You have my sympathy hun, wasnt that long ago that I was there too.
