    Pre-labour

This morning for an hour and a half I experienced very low down period like pains lasting around 2 minutes, coming every 15 minutes.
It went away and hasn't returned.

I saw my Ob today and he said it sounded like pre-labour and that if it happens again and continues then it is most likely to be labour coming on.

Can I ask what everyone's experiences of pre-labour are? I know that they are going to be very widely different but I'd just love to hear what others have gone through.

    Thanks so much

I had BH off & on for days leading up to DS' birth, that's it. Never had that pressure or various pains others have described. The day I went into labour I had a bloody show about 11am then nothing all day, not even BH. I started having contractions every 10 mins or so at about 7pm.
    Good luck!!

with DD i had suddenly got BH in the week before. at the time i didnt twig that they were BH (pre BB days...so didnt know much ). i thought they were just stitches from walking too much. i would stop what i was doing and breathe through them. but that was it it really. no bloody show or anything until woosh! my waters broke.

another thing i noticed in the 24 hours before the waters gave way was that DD went completely troppo in there. she was squirming like nobody's business...then went very very still about 3-4 hours before the Big Event.

I had pre labour for about 2 ish weeks on and off with DS. When it finally ramped up to where I could stand it no longer on my own and I went to hospital, I was 8cm dialated with bulging waters. The midwife popped my waters and DS was with us in no time!!
