Mild vaginal prolapse and birthing question

    Hi Ladies,

I need to start doing some research. After giving birth to DD2 I have been left with a mild vaginal prolapse. I have told my doctor about it and she wants me to see an ob at the hospital, however I still don't have an apt so I thought that I'd best be researched before I finally get to see someone.

I am worried that the prolapse will be worse after another birth. Has anyone had a prolapse and gone on to birth naturally? And did you recover ok?

I would like to avoid a c-section if possible, and I don't even know if a prolapse is a good reason for a c-section anyway. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
I had a mildly prolapsed bowel and vaginal rectoceale (sic) after my first baby. After the second one it was a total disaster and I had to have major surgery to repair my bowel. It still isn't quite right, so I am having a ceasar for this baby. The OB suggested not having the rectoceale repaired as the operation has a high rate of failure and infection.
He said he was happy to deliver my next baby naturally if I wanted to, but there is a very high chance that the damage would be unrepairable and I would be the one wearing a nappy when I am older.Given that the operation I have already had was not completely successful I have decided to have a ceasar.
