Yeah - my DH had to go out and tell the midwife to stop offering me pain relief. It was driving me MENTAL! I'm having a birthplan next time.. even if it only has that 1 thing listed on it LOL, that if I want drugs, I'll ask for them.. don't keep offering!

Back on topic tho - I have never heard of pethadine having these effects! They certainly weren't listed as side effects in the information we received. All I knew was it could make you vomit, so it's usually mixed with maxalon or something to prevent that.
