    Question RLT: Tablets vs Tea?

    Hi All,

I posted this question in a different thread this morning but thought I would submit a thread of its own.

For the past 2 weeks I have been taking RLT in tablet form. I am taking 2 tabs three times a day. I have heard that there is tea, but not too sure on the tea as I am not a huge fan of tea.

So my question is.. which one is better - the tea or the tablets??

I am not sure which one is better in terms of its effect.

I am not a normal tea drinker, but I do like herbal teas, and so I went the tea when it comes to RLT.....from the health food aisle in the supermarket........I drank it without milk and luke warm. About 8 glasses a day from 36 weeks.........

I love the stuff.......(not sure if it had any effect on my births but I did all 3 vaginally with zero pain relief..........)

Pregpan - on the bottle it says that RLT can be taken any time during the third trimester. Most ladies on here seem to start taking it from 32 wks.

Linz - I can imagine that I am going to be there same!! But I was drinking green tea before getting pg and I managed to stomach that somehow...

I think I am going to stick to the tablets for now and maybe around 36 wks I will attempt some of the tea! Hmm.. does someone want to send me a sample incase I dont like it once I buy a packet??!! hehe how many tea bags do they sell in a box anyway?

I used the tablets and I found them to be ok - easy and over with quickly hehe. I didnt try the tea though so it might actually be nice!

I heard from a midwife that something about the hot water on the tea activates it better, but that if you don't like tea, tablets are fine, or a combo of both.

With tea you will never know the exact dose too.
