Sorry in advance if this is TMI, I am 5 days overdue with bub number 2. I have had two doses of acupuncture since tuesday and yesterday the midwife did a stretch and sweep and told me I was 2cm dilated. Anyway I went to the loo just before and found quite a bit of white mucus in my underwear and on the paper when I wiped. It was not blood stained at all, do you think it's the mucus plug? With DS I didn't get a show until I'd been having contractions for hours. I have been feeling a few niggles over the past few days but nothing major. Any suggestions? Thanks
With my bub no 2 I had a clearish/white mucus discharge and no blood. About 6 hours after this she was born...only a 50 minute labour!! I had some niggles too during the 6 hours and once labour was established wammo she was here!
So yes I think it def is your mucous plug. I had more bloody colored dishcharge with bub no1!

How exciting Kimmy!! Hmm, not sure - it could be the start of your show? I didn't get one with DD (that im aware of) but with DS my show came just before my waters broke, after I'd been having contractions for a few hours. Mine looked like a massive glob of ewcm but it was definitely bloody. Like it was huge - nectarine size!!!
Maybe it was so big because it all came out at once? Maybe my memory is exaggerating it???
I had lots of white mucus the night before labour started with DD2. It became blood streaked when my contractions started in the morning. I think it is your most probably your plug. Goodluck, I hope your baby makes their entrance real soon.
OMG we must have labourish esp or something, i promise i'm not stalking you I too have had a show today, very similiar to what you described except i've had quite a few big blobs so i'm hopful too. Surely one of us must be going to go into labour this weekend, or even better - tonight! 11/2/11 sounds like a good b'day.
