Thanks UA - even though it was 10 years ago it still hits me when I least expect it and the memory of holding her and thinking she just looks like she needs to be warmed up is something I will carry forever.
Belle - Will started out in labour as posterior, then turned around during the final stages of labour - EG at an hour before he arrived, he was still facing the wrong way. So they do turn during labour, but I think the mum has to be able to move around a lot to do that, and if they are monitoring her that may not be easy. Also I don't think they can monitor while in water? which is where I did all my moving.
Good luck to your SIL and hope she gets a healthy self and bub after delivery. However she has the bub.
