    Is Labour around the corner???

I have 5 days to go (WooHoo) - not long now I hope!!!

For the past 4 or 5 days I have been having BHs in my lower abdomen on and off (they hurt - but don't reach a peak as true labour contractions do) very frustrating

...and today I had a tummy upset that lasted all day. My 3 boys and partner don't have it so it can't be anything we ate (and we don't eat take out). I was wondering if this was some sort of bodily evacuation process prior to labour!!! I know with my second pregnancy I threw up and went into labour the next day but I don't know if this is the same thing.

I know I am grasping at straws here as I am so over pregnacy now that I will take anything as a sign that labour is not to far away. I know once I am in labour I will be truly regretting that I thought and wrote any of this. But we all go through it (I hope).

Can someone tell me what they think and whether they had similar symptoms or whether I am going loopy

With my first I had those BH for about the same time... (5 or more days)
Then on "the" day they were coming all day steadily about 10 minutes apart.... stayed up late cause i thought i would go into labour in the evening..... Thought bugger it and went to bed.......... within about 10 minutes of dozing off to sleep.... THWACK!!!!!!!!!! Contractions started at 5 minutes apart!!

This time around I am 38 weeks and 3 days and have had BH for weeks!!! Getting worse each day..... longer, stronger ect.... but nothing happening yet.... I am soooooooo over being pregnant too!! I keep talking to her and saying "GO ON... I DARE YOU TO COME NOW!" he he he.....

Good luck and I hope it all starts for you soon!

I swear once you get pregnant and even more so once you have been through childbirth and or got kids it is amazing what we talk about and what makes you laugh! Life become all about vaginas/boobs/bums and poo! So glam!!!

Fingers crossed for those with the runs!!

    Thank you girls,

I think in the last week I have developed a split personality because I want to go into labour because I am over pregnancy, over sciatic pain over the indigestion over the 1/2 hourly trips to the loo to pee over the swollen legs, feet, hands and puffy face and definately the more than excessive perspiration etc etc etc. But I don't want to go into labour because I don't want to do it again - these are the weirdest feelings to have. It's like one big scary thrill ride!!!

Thank you kindly for replying to my post, will let you know when bubs arrives - lets see if the theory is correct with regards to the tummy upset (AKA the runs)!!!

I noticed my ankles had swollen at 730pm and I had a bloody show at 10pm and waters broke at 1am. No contractions or BH (no bh for about 2wks leading up to it - he was 1wk late) until the water broke. I was throwing up 1hr later when we got to the hosp...

Fingers crossed for you... Good luck!!
