Possible in labour not really sure...

    Afternoon ladies,

Am pregnant and was just ready early sign, as I have 3 weeks left and this is 4th baby. All other bubs have been 41weeks+ so am not expecting early arrival.

However within the last hr now, I have been getting lost's of tightings where I have to wiggle in seat, and some grab something 'cos of shock of quick pain feel. However these are not lasting long prob 30-40 sec, I can also feel bub's moving...

I rung hospital and they told me to go in water breaks, or have show or if pain get's to much to bear, but I have some much to get done before the babies arrival, not including today list of general stuff. Also not ready mental, I thought I have 3-4 more weeks of waiting before I had to go through so much pain...

Anyway I better go and get some washing folded, grocery put away, and vaccuming done just in case...

Ah hunny you have my sympathies. I found braxton hicks were so much worse with my last pregnancy that at times I could not tell if they were the real thing or not.

My advice to you is ignore these cramps until you cannot ignore them. Get busy as you had planned and they will either go away or stop your activities. Don't try to time them or track them as if you can still do that, then they are probably not the real thing.

Good luck for your upcoming labour!

you never know it could be!
i know labour started completely opposite to DD with my DS. (dd was posterior pains and DS front).

And he was 3 weeks early and born at home cause the hospital said the same thing to me, i went in and they said to go home as i would be 24 hrs (even though #1 was a 2.5hr labour!!!!) as my waters were in tact and irregular contractions and 1cm.

By the time they were regular and my water broke (i had no show with DS) DS was born 1/2 later on the bedroom floor!

so keep a close watch as every baby chooses he timing differently!!

Have you had some panadol Sarah? Write a list for your DH of what still needs to be done. Pack your bags now and then do whatever else you can on the list.

    Thanks ladies,

I have been busy going about getting things done...

Traveller: I had the same thought, they will either come on stronger or fade away. But have told DH to possible let work mates know he might not be in 2morro. Also called Granny to let her know just incase water do break at stupid hr, I would hate for her to be un-orgainsed...

PinkPalace: My DS1 & 2 were both posterior and DD wasn't. But DH thinks it a girl this time around so I could be in for anything. As long as I make it to the hospital early enough to get the drugs into me I will be fine... Not sure how people have home birth's without drugs... Very brave.... Me I would take the risk and try and drive or call 000 for help.

alioops: Yeah will get around to packing bag, later on-ish. DH wouldn't do stuff on list regardless. I have a real man's man. No I haven't taken panadol yet can stand it abit more before I have to take them, but as soon as it hurts I'm off to hospital...

Have developed back pain as well... lower back please god don't let this baby be a posterior one...

Thank you all for your words and hope it does turn into something however I will keep you posted...

Oooh very exciting!! I hope this turns into something for you. When I wasn't sure if I was in labour or not I got told to go for a walk, so I walked up and down the stairs. After I few times, yup, I was thinking that I might be in labour cos the pains got worse!

    Sounds like its happening
I get the mental preperation you need though. My girls were both over 41 weeks. My DS was only 2 days early, but that was enough to have my head spinning! Then from a 30 hour labour to 5 hours.
Not only were we expecting at least another week, but a long labour! lol.
Get your bags packed & do what you can. Don't push it. Good luck

Camme~Lot: I just finished mowing the back lawn, so I don't have to worry about DS's playing out there while in hospital...

Kate: Exciting, am crapping self... I know the pain that has to come before I get the reward... then more pain (sore boobie/nipples)

Camme~Lot: I was banking on that extra 3-4 weeks to get mental prepared... Heads still not in the game just yet...

Well it has been near 5hr since feeling pain, and the pain doesn't seem to be getting worse, however I have had diearre, and sum musue (plug) but don't hold out much hope. So am just going to call them BH and move on. Well I might use DH tonight see if that helps anything, if I can find the engery...

However upside is I am orgainse now, and am ready if bub's does come early which I still doubt due to previous children (all 5-10 days late)...

Thanks you all for your support, and if anything happens during the next few days will let you know...

    Ok so total false alarm...

Went to bed, did my million pee runs, pain still there. Didn't stop until 12, got to sleep for 2 & a half hr before another pee run, then couldn't get back to sleep for an hr and half. Then DH snoring couldnt sleep but no pain, then asleep for another hr and half before DH alarm goes off. So I've had 4hr total sleep. Am buggered but kids will be getting up soon. Will aim for a power nap today when DS2 goes down.

DH and I talk about it, and he said if I think it's going to happen while he is at work and only if I can drive go to the hospital and get check out then call him or call ambo's. Unless water breaks then call him ASAP. Normal my babies are born within an hr after water breaks...

This is so FUSTRATING... I was banking on an extra 3-4 weeks but now everything up in air...

You'll be right. Maybe its a bit of pre labour. It might start up again, it might not. Get plenty of rest & I agree about the waters! My first took forever, but the other 2 didn't!
