If this is it, then what you need to do now is get off this computer and just focus on YOU! It's great to have a cheer squad, but right now you really need to be focusing on yourself and your possible labour and not be on here giving us updates and no one should be pressuring her to keep us updated I'm sure we will all survive without hourly updates and just letting her get on with it Your mind is a powerful thing and getting yourself hung up on times and number of contractions isn't helpful at all. You need to stop watching the clock and let your body just do it's thing.

I think if it is feeling continual you need to present to the Birthing Unit for assessment. Good luck & just stay centred and focused on the job your body is doing. Sending you lots of support and encouragement!

Hah, I'm getting the same thing ... not quite 10 minutes though. Anything from 10-25mins, since about 4 today.

My other half is stressed to the max and about to dissolve in a puddle of anxiety on the floor. He just made cupcakes. Oh dear.

It turned from being just ouch to being incredibly painful pretty fast last time so we'll see ...

They are now every 6 mins. I'm feeling most in my back. Im chatting to my mum on FB and shes wanting to come over and take me to hospital. Im hesitant as im afraid of being told to come home as nothing is progressing

sounds like things are progressing just fine to me! I don't see any harm in waiting until they are 5 mins to go to the hospital (depending how far away it is), but maybe you should let your mum come over anyway in case things start moving faster than they have been?

Good luck, sounds like things are really underway and I hope you have your little one in your arms soon! How exciting!!

    Thanks ladies.

Argh im almost in tears because of the pain, the excitement and nerves.

I just dont want to be told im not dilating and to come back..

Ok its looking like every 4 mins now.. now to just to monitor and make sure they dont change. Should these be very painful by now because they are just slightly more painful. Unless i have a high pain tolerance LOL

You'd be suprised, it's likely they'd be very painful - it's just that your body has been working up to this point, which means that it's been a gradual increase in pain, not a hugh sudden leap from nothing to 100km/hr, you know what I mean?

    Good luck!!!
