I didnt really get an urge to push with Briley so it was quite difficult to know where to direct my pushing. But after a few position changes I worked it out. Her position had something to do with this I'd say.
Yep, that's true about posterior. I've been doing alot of reading about it since being pregnant this time around and trying to avoid a posterior birth again (as it was soooo painful in the back!!!). I have read many times that you don't get a strong urge to push with posterior babies due to the positioning of the head and where it's hitting on the cervix and the nerves in that area....or something like that The MW's were telling me to push but I really had no idea when I needed to push it was all a bit confusing and I was sure I wasn't dilated enough but yep, i was LOL

I'm looking forward to feeling that strong urge to bear down and push this time around!!
