    Just ahd a thought that popped into my head. I figure the wordly wisdom of BB will answer this one.....

    Do regular orgasms help strenthen your muscles needed for birth??

    I don't know. They do work a treat for bringing on labour though if you get over things later on.

    ahem, in my experience I'd have to say no given that DD got stuck.

    BUT, I have an extremely happy baby and my pet theory is that the regular Os may have contributed to that. If anyone has read any research on that, I'd be really interested. Sorry for the mini-hijack though!

    That's good Dach - she got lots of hugs! I'm thinking that if maternal stress is bad for the baby then all the happy hormones that get released in an O perhaps have a positive impact on the baby's brain development.

    fionas - I do think there is something to your theory!

    When i was pregnant with DD i... well.... i kinda NEEDED to have a big O every day. Like HAD TO.

    And she was such a pleasant baby

    But I am still really curious as to if it strengthens to muscles needed for labour - logically I am sure it would but I would really love to know!
