Vitamin K

Hi everyone,

Just curious on if you knew why or knew of any good information where i can find out about the Vitamin K injection/oral dose they give babies after they are born. Why do they give it to them?

Babies are born without Vitamin K. Vit K assists in clotting.
I think it is offered as babies are at risk of having small bleeds from the trauma of child birth.
