Talking Where were you when you went into labour?

Just curious about where you were when you went into labour. Were you home, out shopping... any funny stories?

My story is exceptionally boring but I went into labour after a beautiful sleep at 630am, DH had a shower whilst I packed my bags during the contractions - off to the hospital and DS was born at 1130am Back in our comfy bed that night at 10pm and DS slept all through the night We couldn't believe it when we woke up to the quiet bassinett next to us, we panicked at first but then he yawned - so cute!

Good luck with your birth! I hope you're as lucky as I was!

With DS1 I was at home, it was late afternoon and we had just DTD when I started to get very strong braxton hicks which wouldn't go away so I called the hospital as I was only 31 weeks and they told me to come in. I was in early labour and hypertensive so they kept me in hospital and he was born at 32 weeks.

With DS2 I was at the movies watching Shrek the Third in the afternoon when I started to get a lot of lower back pain. That night after cooking dinner and just about to sit down to it I felt a huge wave of nausea come over me and new it was time!

    Good luck.

I was at home both times. With DD1 I had MIL and SIL over helping to clean up the house as I was booked for induction that day, but I didn't need the induction. With DD2 I started getting irregular contractions while DD1 was up. It didn't step up to active labout until she was fast asleep for the night and when I was up to 5 minutes apart and 1 minute long we called the ILs and headed to the hospital.

I'm boring too sorry. My waters broke at 1am in bed but I went into labour in a birth suite as I had to be induced.

Tucked up in bed all three times.
My waters did break with DS on BIL's bed though.
I think its an amusing story.
MIL & FIL were fighting the night before, so when he tried to wake her up to tell her what happened she thought he was having a go at her & told him where to go. As soon as she heard my voice she jumped up though!
I was staying with them coz I lived 2 hours away from the nearest hospital.

At home both times for me.
I always wondered if I'd be out somewhere and my waters would break. I kinda wished my waters had broken by themselves, but both times they didn't.

DD labour started at 5am in bed, went to hospital at 11am & had my waters broken when contractions were about 1-2 mins apart (dont know why they didnt break on their own?)

DS I was booked for an induction but they broke my waters first & labour started on its own from there

So I'm another very boring one, thankfully for me LOL

What did you do??? Did you call someone for help or did you just leave your trolley and go? A friend and I were talking about this the other day. Do you stay to clean up or make a run for it!!!
