Waters breaking wih lots of bright red blood

My DD2 is 11 days old and I had a homebirth with her, but just wanting to know if anyone had somethig similar happen...

I was having a few light contractions in the morning, and early afternoon... Then at about 3:30 I had a shower and squatted down (as I had been doing all pregnancy in the shower)... And I felt a pop and my waters broke with lots of bright red blood. DH called my midwife and came straight over.... But until she got there (20mins), every contraction I had another gush if blood came out... She arrived and wasn't too worried, I got into the birth pool 30mins after my waters broke and the bleedig had stopped... DD was born 1hr later.. Placenta and everything came out fine (little excessive bleeding 700mls appx) but placenta was all in one piece... And couldn't really see where the bleeding came from. DD2 was quite large too at 10lb 4oz... ETA: I had a scan 3 days before she was born and her placenta was at the back and high up in the uterus, so no were near the cervix.

Midwife seems to think it was the baby slamming onto the cervix and me dialatig so quickly I burst a couple of capilleries on he cervix hence the red blood....

Anyone else had or seen this before....
