Ok that's great. Id been starting to worry that absolutely nothing was happening. I had no warning leading up to my waters breaking and nothing since. so thanks for the reassurance its all good at this stage. I wasn't sure why hospital only have me 4hrs either, as I'm sure they said they let you go 12-14hrs once waters break.

how exciting! With my DS #2, my hind waters broke first, which everyone assumed was the forewaters (there was quite a lot of fluid).

Good luck...I am so jealous right now...hanging out for mine to come SOON!!! You will be great, trust yourself and your amazing body....it knows what to do

Stay home as long as you are comfortable, I really, really, really regret going in just because my waters had broken. After 22 hours I ended up with c/s because I hadn't done my research & didn't know that it's quite ok for labour to take 24 or more hours to establish. I was a "failure to progress" c/s which really means a "failure to wait and let nature take its course". You have lots of time, go in when YOU'RE ready to go in.

Sending you beautiful labour vibes!! You're going to have a baby very soon!

Ok so STILL nothing happening here. I popped into the hospital for a quick check up at 10:30pm & they sent us home at 11pm. Went to bed with DF & had ONE strong contraction that actually made my toes curl & then nothing again since. Hospital said come back in around 8:30-9am.

So what does this mean if I still haven't started contracting??? Midwife said bub has dropped down & is perfectly positioned so why now 10hrs after my waters broke still nothing??
Is there something I can do to try to help bring on contractions? My worst fear when I think about medical intervention is being strapped to a drip on a hospital bed & the contractions caused by pitocin (which Im assuming would be the next step??) really dont sound nice at all.
