    I always thought 40 weeks WAS the 'average'... thats why they put 40 weeks as the EDD, even though we all know that from about 37-38 weeks to 42 weeks is 'full-term'.

    So my final answer is 40 weeks


    ETA: Jazz was born at 40w1d, I went into labour on the Sunday, she was born via emerg. c/s on the Tuesday.

    first time the average is 41+2..

    funny how very few doctors like you to go over 41+3...

    #1 baby was 41 weeks and was a boy, he was born on a Friday.
    #2 baby was 39 weeks and a girl, she was born on a Thursday.
    #3 baby was 39+4 and a boy, he was born on a Sunday.
    #4 baby was 40 weeks (born on due date) and a girl, she was born on a Wednesday.

    I heard that during thunderstorms you are more likely to go into labour...sounds silly but I heard it at a BB birth talk with.....can't remember her name....great midwife....someone help me out!

    Well, my ex work mate finished up work on wednesday at 36wks, had her baby on the friday! A boy!

    My gorgeous lil man was 41wks (exactly 7days overdue!) and was born on a Saturday

    My first I went into labour at 40+6, birth ended up as an emergency c/s on a Sunday.

    My second I went into labour at 40+9, birthday also ended up as an emergency c/s on a Saturday.
