I originally thought I would be in the bath when in labour with my ds so I took along my swimmers (a two piece for easy removal), didn't like the sensation of the bath (or the swimmers on my body) so I ended up in the shower for 5 hours starkers! I honestly didn't even think or care who might see me naked and I usually am a huge prude when it comes to my own nakedness I would take along your swimmers and see how you feel during labour. don't forget a change of clothes for dh too as we forgot and my dh had wet clothes for the duration of our birth.. oops
I was totally naked!! I had a crop top and undies one for about the first 10 mins... then I got over it and got naked! I didn't like the feeling of wet clothes against me!
I can't really remember what I was wearing during labour for DS1, I think it might have been the same big maternity t-shirt nighty thing that I wore for DS2. I ended up being prepped for a c-section so was naked at some point.
With DS2, I started off with a big maternity t-shirt nighty thingy and maternity cargo pants. Cargo pants were off when I got to hossy, but I kept putting them back on to go for walks (my labour kept stalling and I was a VBAC so I was being intermittently monitored). When everything finally revved up, I got in the shower in just my sports crop top and didn't take it off until I bf'd DS2. I was completely naked when I delivered the placenta.
I really badly didnt wanna be totaly naked either.....so I packed swimmers bottoms (the boy leg type cos I hate my thighs, yup hiding my thighs was super important considering what I was about to do lol) a crop top and loose t-shirt. Well I started to feel niggly pains so jumped in the bath....as soon as those niggly pains turned into labour I was like "Get these freaking clothes off me NOW!!!" by the time DH got there I was naked in the shower with a doctor and two nurses wandering around me.....poor DH nearly had a heart attack and kept trying to cover me up lol. Looking back I still beleive I actually did that!!
I was naked in the bath and shower, except for a wet towel I draped over my shoulders and would wet down every now and then to keep my back warm as I preferred to keep the shower head aimed directly at my tummy.
