I was in a singlet with a towel wrapped around the bottom half, and when I was in the bed I jsut had the sheet over the bottom half. Was very easy that way!
I had a c.s for the first so didn't have a choice but to wear a sexy hospital gown. For the next two, I was in the buff. I just couldn't handle anything touching my skin, it just irritated me so much. I did bring along a nightie to wear so that I could just pull it up when it got down to business, but it didn't last more than 10mins after arriving at the labour ward.
when i was admitted to the delivery room i changed into a dress nighty. i was so modest but by the time i was in full labour i was screaming to get my clothes off.. you get very hott and tend to feel restricted with them on.
Started with trackies and a singlet - then stripped off to get in the bath and didnt put anything on except knickers as i was still leaking.... once i called for an epidural and had a room full of people i got dh to wrap a pink pashmina around me!! it was too hard to get stuff on and off with a drip too!! funny how u lose your inhibitions in a bath etc with strangers around!!!
Started labour in bed, had a shower after I got up put on normal day clothes. Spent about 24 hours in and out of various tshirts and nude, then probably more naked than not the last 24 hours. No way could I be in strong labour and clothed! Naked skin is the best way to receive a a naked baby for lots of great reasons
With my daughter i started of wearing a dress n once my waters broke n i actully got into a birthing suite i was in just my bra it was to hot to have anything else on...... i thought i would feel funny being naked infront of my mum n best friend as i am very very shy when it comes to being naked around people and also in daylight but it didnt even phase me with them seeing me the way i was
