I had a stretch & sweep done yesterday at about 5pm, but my cervix was completely closed (I'm 40 weeks tomorrow). I felt fine until I went to bed at around 10pm & then I had period like pains which got worse all night. I slept through a bit but kept waking up because it hurt. At about 5 am I had a really big tightening in my belly that I had to breathe through & it lasted about a minute, then about 10 minutes later another, and then after a further 10 mins another one. I got up to have something to eat etc and haven't had any pains at all since!

What's happened? Why did it stop? I was getting all excited and thought this might be it. Any ideas?
