It could be that your cervix was irritated by the S&S and that it wasn't labour at all, just pre-labour. If you are at 'term' and it was completely closed, then it wasn't likely to have succeeded anyway, just made you sore. Having a S&S doesn't always send you into labour. I really hope that you don't have to wait much longer though
