I got contractions Friday after seeing him the first time and they fizzled out....
Saw Him yesterday again got contractions but not constant ones and then I woke up at 3am this morning and my back was kaning.... went back to sleep and woke up at 8am with decent contractions....
went again today at 11.30 and now it's just a matter of time .... he reckons it'll be today or tonight ....
SJ - when I had acupuncture, they used the needles and the electric current. I'm not going to say it doesn't hurt on your little toe - just a tad!!!! LOL
SJ - As annoying as I found it when people used to say it, you do just know. If you can't talk hrough a contraction then you are in labour. Go for a walk, DTD, try to express, anything you can think of. Try making lists and see if that helps, I started making lists of everything I needed to do before Em arrived, and she arrived less than 24 hours later.
Hey guys, another question! For those of you who had induction acupuncture how long did it take before anything happened?? I had it yesterday at 1pm, nothing different so far. Have another appt today at 3.30pm.
I think I posted in another thread a while ago re mine.
I had been having AP since 18 wks - went for my weekly at 38w2d appointment at 10am and waters broke at 2.30 that afternoon - so just depends if bubs is ready - cervix ripeness etc etc ...
I was booked in for 4 consecutive treatments the next week if nothing had happened. But also my 3rd bub so body knew what it was supposed to do .
Rest if you can - theres no rest afterwards for the next 20 years .
Wishing you the best of luck and a wonderful birth experience whichever way it happens
Thanks Sami. Yeah I couldn't decide if I should rest or try to keep active hoping something will start, lol. But I'm lazy today so it's been mostly resting, lol. But some bouncing on my fitball for good measure!
Heaven, good luck! It will happen, even though it doesn't feel like it.
Just on your original question, I didn't feel any different. Sunday- DTD and felt quite relaxed. Some mild cramps that night. Monday- slight bit of bleeding, no cramps, felt normal. Monday night when I went to bed, I flicked off the light and evidently flicked on the contractions. It just started and progressed fairly quickly. 11 hours later, I had my baby.
I wish you all the very best and am so excited for you, that you are soon to get that wonderful moment when you first meet and hold your bubs. I never thought I would say it, but it really is all worth it.
