It wouldn't be for me, but I can relate to the desire of wanting the birth to be in the manner of a womans own choosing.

it sort of balances the scale somewhat. It's obviously not a choice for everyone, but I think it's great that there are women out there trusting their bodies to do their thing, without help.
Very true, IMO.

I am kind of with Deb too, in as much as during my births I need a strong connection. DH is brilliant, but I need another womans voice to be honest! (I have been extremely blessed with brilliant midwives for all 3 of my births, and my gut tells me that if I was ever going to give birth again, I would need this again, whether at home or not.........)
