    Yeah it's both mum and bub. On some of the midwifery lists I am on they sometimes mention things they have seen during caesareans, when there was no prior indication of problems going into the caeser, things like mums arresting on the table etc... all complications of this sort of birth.

    That's a very intersting article, that's for sure. But doesn't it make you wonder why the obs don't know this? And if they do, why they still often encourage unnecesary elective c/s? At least knowledge is power so hopefully more mums to be can be armed with this information to help them achieve the births they want.
