Congrats Snoopea - my DS was the exact measurements of Hayden and he got stuck and I had an emergency c-s after 30 hrs in hospital. I am TRULY ENVIOUS!!! I applaud your body for performing so well - so very happy for you!!!
We planned to have DD and DS with us, I don't think I could have done it with out them, DD was present at DS birth and handled it really well even tho she was only 2.5 years at the time! I think that if they hadn't been present they would have felt left out and it may have caused issues later on! Funny thing was that my mum missed the birth and is still angry at herself she just couldn't get over how fast Hayden arrived!!! lol
I am very glad it was a short birth as DS was a little upset at my moaning when a contraction hit but we explained that bubs was trying to come out, he seemed to understand! Although I think he finally worked out that babies don't come out your belly button! lol
DH was on the phone when the head was out and DS and DD only watched the body arriving, they didn't see the placenta as DH was with them watching Hayden as it arrived! So the timming was great!!! But I would definetly recommend having them with you, it's an amazing experience and they are both as proud as punch with him!!!
