Wow
Total insanity...I don't know what to say. I could only allow myself a second to imagine it being me in that situation-how utterly horrific for these woman to experience such evil...
I am speechless and so very very sorry this ever happened![]()
Truly amazing. I am so grateful for stories like this. Not grateful for the cruelty, destruction and death caused during that awful time. But definitely grateful for these stories.
Thank you so much for sharing.
It's an amazing story - it's inspirational in a way. That while the human race shows it's ugliest side love can prevail and innocence be protected.
Wow. Unbelievable.
Wow thanks for sharing I have always had an interest in the Holocaust after doing so much study on the book Elli and Schindlers list at high school in VCE. Such a horrific time in history that will never be forgotten, such a miracle to read that some good things did happen like this amazing baby.
Thank you for sharing - a humbling reminder of what a wonderful life I have.
Amazing. I'm speechless after reading that.
It just makes me more thankful to live in Australia.

What a privilege, to care for Sophia and other like her, and be in a place to bring human kindness and compassion to her in the night when terrible memories surface. That is amazing that you've now discovered that her story wasn't just dementia talking - things like really happened. I'm amazed by the circle of womanly support around these rare births, even when they were trapped in a hideous hell that tried to destroy every last vestige of humaneness.
I am in such shock. Moved, disgusted, unsettled.
Thanks for sharing hun. It's truly a miracle this baby girl made it out of the camp. I'm Polish, and I visited the camp 3 years ago when I went back to visit my family. It was such a beautiful but incredibly sad place to visit. My heart aches for every single person that lost their life there.
