Now because of this WONDERFUL birth #2 is a chance of being induced as they are too scared i will labour TOO QUICKLY... hmm not sure i like that idea but see how we go.

Thanks for posting your experience, this was such an amazing read.. i had lots of happy tears for you and your DD.
For your next birth you should really remember your own words and trust in your bodys ability to do what it needs to do.. use your instincts and go to the hospital when you are ready.. dont let the OB plan it on his schedule
oh this is such a wonderful story!! thank you!

Wow what an amazing story and such a great outcome! You must feel like wonder woman, not only birthing your baby by yourself, but a breach one too. Must have been very scarey! The next birth should be a breeze compared to that!

bubbleluv and carrie thanks for the kind words.

Cariie - i keep joking that #2 is going to be a pain in the butt, i think i will make it to hosp and she will get stuck or something.. just to prove a point... hehe as everyone says it will be easy for me... lol
Shouldn't laugh as i don't want that at all but you know what i mean!

DD is now 18mths old, i can't believe it, had to read over again and it made me .

DD2 was born safely in hospital in January but like her big sister was not waiting for anyone... 8min after my water broke and she was out.. 5hr labor and only 8min pushing.

Wow wow wow! What an amazing story. Definitely one to tell the grandkids. You did UNBELIEVABLY well not to panick. Especially being all on your own.
I had tears in my eyes reading it. Wow!
It also brought back so many memories about Daniel's birth.
Yes, it is amazing how our bodies just take over and we're merely a passenger on this journey.

And about the lack of "detail": who cares about how dilated. When reading a birth story, it is the emotion of it and what the mother is going through that interests me. Not how many centimetres of dilation at what time (well, unless her feelings are closely related to the progress of dilation).

Beautiful birth and beautifully told. Thanks for sharing!
