What a FANTASTIC story!

When I saw the length of your story, I went to make a cup of tea so I could sit and revel in it. You had me in tears and in laughter! What a great job you did, and what a great team you chose! Your DH sounds absolutely wonderful, he had a hands on involved roll in the birth of his son. Perfect. Love your midwife too. She sounds absolutely perfect. I just love the calm, knowing presence of an experienced midwife. Someone who can communicate with a look and has a bag of tricks for every occasion. And you, you listened to your body beautifully. Congratulations on a spectacular (long) labour and birth.

Awesome birth and gorgeous story. Your midwife has to be Gaye...she was one of my back ups for dd...I seriously felt her calm energy enter my birth space...I love her!

So happy you got to experience the joy and wonder of a home birth. It is seriously addictive hey? Both tines I have wanted to do it all over again!

Wow. Just wow. Brilliant story, amazing birth. The bit about your Mum did make me want to hit the computer screen though. Can't believe she carried on like that. You did so well to keep it together and stay true to yourself.
