starry - you will probably be fine. I think I went in being a little over confident. A little apprehension is probably a good thing to have. I only got that as I went into labour. Because of it you will be far better prepared than I was. The good news is I'm all back to normal now - have been since 3 weeks after the birth. It's sooooo good to feel normal again.
As much as the experience was not what I expected one thing that I can say about it was that even though it was quite long, it really didn't seem that long. So if anyone is reading this who is about to go through birth, don't stress about a long birth, it is exhausting, but somehow seems far quicker than it actually is. Your energy miraculously comes back after the birth - just in time for your visitors to arrive.
My little man is a joy to behold. He's so cute and such a calm baby. I truly am blessed.
