Hey - you did wonderfully Mel. Super super fantastic. The really important thing is not that you felt overwhelmed by the fear at times, but that you got through it.

Just as an odd bit of trivia - my DS was due on the 16th November, and was born on the 28th, just like Eden but two years earlier.

You did do it my love!!!! YOU did it... Fear is often around in labour - especially the first time as labour is like nothing I have ever experienced. Often so overwhelmingly painful yet so bloody addictive that you want more.

I am so glad that in this lifetime at least once (maybe more! ) you got to experience that amazing feeling of birthing naturally.

As for the the feelings in her bladder Trill - I am thinking it was a good few hours before she was convinced it was the real deal!

You are an inspiration Mel to all women who want to VBAC. You've given them a great gift in sharing your story.

P.S. When did it click that the 'bladder pains' were contractions? LOL
Not for AGES!!!! I was still convinced I was in prelabour until Jean told me that she was descending nicely.. LOL

Mel - that is such an inspirational story, especially for a wanna-be vbacer. And funny and moving too. So glad that it all worked beautifully for you, and congratulations on the safe arrival of Eden (gorgeous name too).

Wow Wow Wow! What an amazing birth story Mel! You did sooooo awesome, I hope you feel very proud of yourself!

You wrote your story so well, I felt your pain and emotions like they were mine LOL!

And don't feel disappointed in how you acted, for goodness sake, you were in LABOUR! It's the hardest thing you could possibly do and you feel so many emotions throughout it. It's so awesome that you had the support of your DH and midwife to help get you through

We are all so proud of you .

Such an inspirational story mel. I can't wait to be pregnant again so I can use your story as a model for my next labour. I am so proud of you that you overcame your fear of rupture and kept going. Congratulations to your support team for being there and helping you all the way.

You are woman and hear you roar, or scream or hiss or what ever we need to do to birth our babies !

Mel, It is so encouraging to hear that you actually did it, and did it so well. It makes all my VBAC fears go away. I hope I can be writing my own VBAC story in a few weeks... You are indeed an inspiration. Thankyou.

And well done on the safe and natural arrival your your newest little princess!!!!!
