thread: I don't think I will ever read another birth story as powerful as this one

One of my friends from here on BB who I am friends with on FB posted this on her FB last night, I read it there, didn't realise it had been posted here too - and now I am remembering reading it last night and I am welling up with tears again! Can't cry at work, not professional!!!

But what an amazing story. I cried with her as she wrote about the first night and how she felt. I don't know how she sent her DH away, I would have needed him there. But I guess her DD needed him more.

Did everyone notice where she wrote something about "I will write that later, in our book", or something similar - sounds like she is going to write a book!

I am subscribing to her blog just so I can keep track of this amazing mother, baby, and whole family.

What a beautiful tribute to her daughter and her birth and what a wonderful family she has. I should've waited until I got home to read this one!

    Amazing!

What a beautiful baby and mumma. I love the last smiling baby photo.

I think children/people with Down's Syndrome are so, so special. They have more love to give than any one else I have met. Beautiful.

Oh crap. I'm scared to click the link. I started crying just reading the quote Beema posted.

*deep breaths as I go off to read*. And thanks in advance for posting although I don't think my googly eyes will be too happy afterward.

WOW...what an unbelievably strong and amazing woman! I was sobbing as I read this story but what a lovely tribute to her beautiful daughter.

How lucky they are to have such amazing friends and family to support them and love their gorgeous baby, there will be no shortage of love in Nella's life.

So beautiful and heartbreaking, so bittersweet. I love how honest she is, I'm sure she felt an enormous pressure to be joyous and happy despite herself. I'm sure she's helped many, many parents with her honesty, who may have felt guilty for having troubling feelings mixed in with their joyful feelings for their children. What a beautiful family <333

wow, what an amazing story, I had tears streaming down my face. and how courageous for sharing even her darkest hour with such honesty. If she does write a book, I'll be queing up to buy it. And such amazing photos, showing the huge range of emotions that must have been going on in that room.
