As a woman on the verge of being induced, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful story. There are a lot of horror induction stories out there - and I really appreciate your honest and non-scary tale.

    Thanks!

You are truly welcome I was in the same shoes as you, the amount of negativity I got from people really bought me down and I felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall...

I wish you all the best for your birth and I can't wait to read your BA!

Helle which SJOG did you birth at if you don't mind me asking? What a gentle beautiful story. We need a thread on positive inductions in this story methinks. In many ways inductions are now more feared that caesarians.

Ladylove, saint John of gods in Bunbury. I have just had our second bub there and had another great experience. Love that hospital! It's the reason I get my back up when people start to poo poo going private. SJOG craps all over the public hospital where I am.

Yeah I thought you were in WA. I'm due on Feb 10 and will be birthing at SJOG Subiaco. I'm like you with the Subi one- so far anyway. The midwives have been amazingly supportive and are pro low or no intervention and I'm lucky to have an OB who is also really easy going. It helps that (touch wood) I've had a low risk easy pregnancy thus far but as a first timer every bit of support helps!

Likewise for me. I've birthed twice now at SJOG Subi and couldn't say enough good things. Also had the fairtale induction too. LL - you'll do great at Subi. Midwives on the delivery ward are just fantastic.

I loved your birth story Halle. Haven't seen one for your new princess but hope it was just as good.

Thanks Lulu. I booked in there solely on the reccomendations of friends who couldn't say enough good things about the midwives and despite private hospitals having a bad reputation regarding active and natural births so far I've been so impressed by SJOG's progressive thinking.

Anyway enough from me; this is Helle's special thread
