    Jamie's arrival into the world

it all started on the 14th of may around 6am i woke up with a lot of pain and decided to get in the shower with DH and i got tired so we put in the plug and sat down in the bath then i felt a leak and i started getting contractions around 9:30 and continued to leak and have contractions

around 11 i rang the hospital and they told me to go get checked at the local hospital to make sure i didnt go for a long drive for no reason so i did that they tested to see if i had broken my waters and it was a very good positive and they also done a VE but i hadn't dilated but i got told to the hospital and by this stage the contractions were only 5 mins apart and very uncomfortable also lost my plug at this stage

so DH and i went home to get organised and within an hour we were on the road with his mum driving we stopped halfway and then the contractions were hurting a lot more i was talking about not being able to do it

we got to the hospital and when i got there i was told because the local hospital gave me a VE after my waters had broken i had to get a drip with antibiotics the midwife stuffed the needle and it had to be done again by the doctor the midwife offered me the gas and i couldn't even breath the oxygen and vomited

after my mum arrived we were moved to the family birthing centre and the contractions were really hurting me and i was told that i wasn't in established labour yet after another VE and it would still be a long time until he was ready to come out i felt like i wasn't going to be able to do it the midwife put the antibiotics on and i got in the shower to help with the contractions then i was in a lot of pain and asked for something for it and they gave me panadine forte and sleeping pills coz they said it would be a long night but all they did was make me drowzy and the pain was exactly the same luckily that middie left and i got a new one i asked for pain relief still using the shower and she gave me a pethadine injection it took about 15 mins to work and then i felt so good that DH was able to get some sleep and i used the shower to help during contractions

at about 2:30 am i got these contractions that i felt like pushing and i tried to hold back coz i was scared and thought that it was too soon i called the middie and she felt that his head was down and ready to come out then DH called my mum and his to come and it felt like they were there by magic and i changed from laying down to sitting holding the bed and then back to laying on my back it helped him come out easier it took about three or four contractions till he was out and on my chest it was the weirdest feeling i have ever felt and DH cut his cord then my placenta was delivered by the injection

i hed a 2nd degree tear and a graze which they had to call the ob to stich me up coz she was sleeping

    3490gms 51cm long and head circ 34cm
Born on his due date my beautiful boy

DH was awesome and very supportive watched everything and is so in love with his son and if it wasn't for him i don't know wat i would have done

    Thanx for reading

Welcome to the world little Jamie

Oh, I just noticed that his length and head circumference were the same as Kyson's! Kyson was heavier though
