Wow Dusty!! I'm so glad you are happy with Freya's birth. It sounded like you were so present and in the moment. I'm sorry the after birth was so traumatic.

dusty thank you for sharing your birth story. I have tears in my eyes... what is it with the threads I read, I have had tears in my eyes several times tonight. I am amazed at the level of detail you have described. Your after birth sounds scary. I hope you are recovering well. Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl. She is gorgeous. Bless your beautiful sister and DH.

    All the best.

oooh dusty u did an amazing job

how very scary being rushed into theatre though, i was sure reading this i was reliving my birth with my son especially the trauma side of things its quite scary i lost a little more blood then you had, but u had worse tearing can i please send happy positive thoughts your way and hyope you can put that all behind you and just enjoy your baby girl

(p.s - i know how hard it is, i think i ended up with post natal depression because of the trauma, but i soon realised it wasnt my DS' fault and i soon recovered well)

Ahh, what better to read during a late night feed than a fantatic account of the arrival of a precious miracle bub!

I confess I've been waiting for this one and it didn't disappoint! Your labour sounded so fantastic - aren't sisters awesome? I had mine there for my DD's birth and similar to yours, she was a great help to me. She's even an Em like I think your sister is from memory!!

Huge congrats again and I hope you can continue to recover well from what happened after that!

Aww thanks Tegam. Am feeling MUCH better now thanks. I've finally thrown all the uterine infections and had some further stitches removed so everything seems to be healing and I can even drive and carry the baby capsule now so watch out world here we come . Freya has to be fitted with a hip brace soon so we are delaying baby wearing for a few more months otherwise nothing will stop us.

Dusty, you brought Freya into the world so fantastically well!

Sounds like it's all a bit of a mystery as to why it got so hairy, but I'm so glad you now have your little girl home with you. I hope you heal well and the care you now get is much, much better.

Wow babe you are amazing and congrats on the birth of your beautiful girl!! So lovely to read that your MW supported you all the way through - I had a beautiful MW from the BC in Canberra too, who helped me achieve an amazing birth.... but I am so sorry to read that your care on the ward was terrible after everything you went through, hope that you and family are all doing well and you are enjoying being a wonderful muma xxx

wowee, dusty - what incredible highs and lows ... I'm so happy that your actual birth was so wonderful and well managed .... and your LO looks just perfect.

I pray that your recovery is swift and complete, and that your relationship with your DH and little Freya is in no way impacted by the postbirth issues.

from one woman to another, feel free to PM me if you ever need to chat or vent or cry ... feel free to check out my birth story and post birth issue - different problem, but similar trauma, and a long road to recovery, physically and emotionally ...
