Lucky your labour was so long so your mother had plenty of time to get to you. My waters broke at home at 11.20pm and my daughter was born at 3.15am so if my mum had lived 5 hours drive away she would not have got there in time.

Interesting that they gave you morphine instead of pethadene. I had pethadene and I believe it speed up my labour as I was only 4cm dilated when they gave me the injection and my baby was born 10 minutes later!

Glad to hear everything went well and your hubby enjoyed an early cuddle.
