Oh meow, I've been looking forward to this story. Well done on a great effort and congratulations again. Beautifully written, so eloquent and simple....the way it should be.
And I'll just add that I'm a wee bit jealous too.

What a great read. And gorgeous gigantic boy.
What a fabulous birth story!!! I hope your tear healed nicely. It sounds like you did an absolutely amazing job. How did you find Espen's adjustment after the birth?
You are really an inspiration.
Such an amazing story!! Well done and congrats![]()
What a lovely birth story. Thanks for sharing.
*mwah* meow!!! thank you thank you thank you for sharing your story! i too laughed along with you just imagining Nic and Helen with you, getting you to eat icy-poles lol! (nic tried to get me to eat a jellybean during Marta's birth...so i made her eat one too).
what a beautiful story, you are so amazing and how cool of Felix to 'kick' start his arrival towards the end!!!!
That kicking feeling really is so strange, I had it with DD2 and had a very similar reaction. Congratulations, what a great story.
Aww thanks again for so many gorgeous comments
I think I should add a bit more about the tearing actually. I suffered trauma from being stitched after my first son's birth- hence the effort to avoid tearing and even raising the stitching issue this time around. In some ways now Im actually glad I tore this time though... being able to experience healing without stitching has been an amazing emotionally healing experience. I am in awe of my wonderful body and it is healing so wonderfully. I wish I had never been stitched the first time and I'm a huge advocate for not getting stitched now! I spent the first 2-3 weeks moving very little. Mostly in bed with my feet up and being careful to keep my legs together. I used peri-natal healing herbs from Blissful Herbs in a squirty bottle and in the bath and took lots of arnica and bellis perennis homeopathics to aide healing. Very happy with the care and advice I had this time around to support me through a much better healing option. I lvoe that the birth was completely free of interventions, including stitching. Absolutely natural and beautiful!
Espen is an amazing big brother. He accepted Felix straight away and within 24 hours was completely calm again after the hive of activity. He gives his little brother lots of kisses and keeps on about his usual daily routine too... all very happy![]()
