WOW, what an amazing and inspiring story, thank you so much for sharing.

    .... and WOW:

I kind of got stage fright, and didn?t want to be watched. I felt my body close up, and the baby got sucked back up into my body, it was a really uncanny feeling.
I am just blown away. This is wonderful proof of the power of the mind and the importance of supporting a woman in labour - not hassling her with negative thoughts/comments, unnecessary intervention and definitely not making decisions for her.

Congratulations on the magical arrival of your third little boy!

when i read the title of your post, i was all ready for a "had to get rushed to hospy for emerg C" type story

i'm glad you got your natural birth.

i was in a birthing pool in my lounge room, kneeling for each contraction, for 29 hours, so i really thought i would get my waterbirth. but fate had other ideas.

    your doula sounds fantastic.

O yes, you are SO right!

It was SUCH a wierd feeling, as soon as I got the 'flight' feeling of not being safe to keep labouring, my body reacted immediately. I guess in survival situations, that trick would be invaluable
