No he hasn't had any problems since then. He sees a cardiologist once a year, an ENT yearly and a surgeon every couple of years. That's mainly to see that his repairs are holding (and the ENT has him in a research study on the effects of cardio surgery on infants' development).

    Holy crap Christine!

I had no idea, and had never read this before! I'm bawling my eyes out. When i read the bit about you carrying him out of the hospital to come home i felt like the sun was on my face and i was just in FLOODS of tears. What a little hero he is, and OMG, how did you cope!?

Thanks so much for sharing this, i'm sorry it has taken me more than 3 years to see it!
