Nothing like that for me. No extra tiredness here either. However I'm on a lower dose (250 mg x2 per day) so perhaps it's linked to that?

I've been on them twice and I've never had tiredness, but I certainly didn't have the other end of the scale either Nic. Maybe have a chat with a pharmacist and see of it's normal and/or will settle. Man you can't keep going like that, you poor love.

i was on them when i was PG with DS. i was on them from about 8 weeks through until about 6 weeks after DS was born. i don't recall having any side effects in the way of tiredness (other than what i'd expect from being PG) or the other end of the spectrum. i agree with kim - could be worth speaking to your pharmacist & see what they say. my doctor put it to me that there are other options, they just usually prescribe aldomet first because it's so tried & tested having been used for PG women for such a long time.

I'm currently on Aldomet and have been since 20yrs old for Chronic Hypertension, at the moment I'm on 12 tablets a day, yes you read that right, 12! I have been lucky, no side effects. The tablets will however make you tired because your blood pressure will drop, it does make you sleepy.
