The only recent change I"m aware of is from the allergist people (can't rmember the name of the organisation, sorry) who now recommend exclusive breastfeeding to 4-6 months, introducing solids within this time frame, whilst continuing to bresatfeed to reduce the risk of allergies - they give no consideration to whether your baby needs or can digest solid foods, btw, their primary concern is with the supposed correlation between introductino of solids and allergy risk. They also no longer recommend delaying possible allergens.
They reckon the current guidelines - exclusive bf to 6 months, then introducing solids - have not reduced the allergy risk. I'm not sure how they can conclude that since so few babies are actually exclusively bf for that long
