    Betadine Sore throat gargle??

DH has a throat infection and is on antibiotics and using the gargle.

Now my throat is getting sore. On the bottle it says 'not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding'

But I'm not swallowing it and DD is 1 now. Anyone know if it's ok? Could get rid of the bacteria before I get too sick.

    Any ideas?

Hmmmm I wouldnt use it, but I'd question why not since its not being injested, at least mostly not...

Maybe some lemon, honey and garlic would work ok??

I don't know about that one, but I know someone who swears by gargling water with a few drops of tea tree oil in it. No idea about during pregnancy and it is not meant to be taken internally so you definitely wouldn't want to swallow it.

I would imagine salty water is a fairly gentle alternative.

Hmm... will those things kill the bacteria you reckon? DH has a throat infection which turned into mild tonsillitis apparently so I need to kill it!!

Garlic can kill a vaginal infection / thrush, so I'd say yes. Although... would it work as well if yu can't hold the garlic in your throat all night LOL. Thats the question!
