I don't know about that one, but I know someone who swears by gargling water with a few drops of tea tree oil in it. No idea about during pregnancy and it is not meant to be taken internally so you definitely wouldn't want to swallow it.
I would imagine salty water is a fairly gentle alternative.
Garlic can kill a vaginal infection / thrush, so I'd say yes. Although... would it work as well if yu can't hold the garlic in your throat all night LOL. Thats the question!
Absorption of Iodine by infants can cause hypothyrodism with repeated exposure. Even if you don't swallow it can be absorbed by the mucous membranes of your mouth and throat and transmitted in breast milk.
A single dose may be ok.
Salt water gargles are pretty effective too.
Ask your pharmacist is the safest bet for ongoing care.
Thanks guys, I didn't have any. Gargled some salt water, yuck!
Now I'm sick, happened really quickly, got a really high temp last night so must be fighting it off. Going to the Dr today. I hope DD doesn't get it. She slept next to me all night, wouldn't go in her cot, I faced away from her at least.
