Question Bf baby solid poo - unwell

My ds is 5 months old and had gastro a couple of nights ago. He did not dehydrate but was vomiting for about 8 hours after every feed. He's still not 100% but only vomited once yesterday and is generally happy, just quieter than usual and more sleepy. He's also drinking less. Dh gave ebm bottle this morning and he took 150mls instead of the usual 240mls and for lunch he also took 150mls instead of 200mls. So far, I'm not concerned as I know he's still recovering from being sick.

But today he has done 2 massive poos and dh reports they are hard with also more liquid than usual. I asked him if it was diarrhea like and he said yes but with hard bits. Ds is exclusively bf and ebm bottle fed. I haven't started him on water or solids.

Should I be getting him checked out again?

I'd give it 24 hours to see if it goes back to normal.

    hard pellets?
It could be that he's not had quite enough milk. It wouldn't hurt to get him checked out again. The strange poo is likely due to the illness, and hopefully it's passing now and he'll soon be much better.

Any more poo? Gastro really is horrid. My Ds2 had it mildly when he was 3 months or so. I'm still scarred by those poos.
