Yay! Well done.
We have been going for almost 21months now. I know what you mean. I always get "you're still bf?" looks from certain people. But in the most part I have been able to educate others on the benefits of longer-term bf. A question i like to ask people is "Why should i not be breast feeding my child?". Turns the tables on them to hopefully question their assumptions.

stuff them other people.. they obviously live under a rock
Being able to bf an older child when they are ill or upset makes life so much easier.
I fed DD until she was 18 months and even now, every time she gets sick I have the thought "wish I was still breastfeeding her....". It's such a comforting thing to be able to do for your child. I think you're doing a great job!
Woooohooooo, you should be super duper proud of yourself, hun!!!!

It really is a great bonus for tantrums and illness!
