i read your post title and my first thought was "how awesome to be still going strong at 19 months" good on you. I BF DS til 14.5 months and then he self weaned which was so sad for me, whereas most of my friends thought i would be happy!

By and large most people still don't have a great understanding of the importance of BF andnits benefits so try not to let it bother you (it can be hard though i know) if you ever want that pat on the back and bells and whistles ( which you deserve) i'm sure there are heaps of people on here ready to give it to you. You're doing a great job and should be proud of yourself, you are certainly not "odd" for continuing to nourish your child the best way possible

My DD is 21mths in a weeks time. I still BF her too. 3 times a day. She still eats bfast, lunch and dinner and snacks inbetween. I love that I can feed her.

I also get weird looks from people, but I DON'T CARE. I don't give weird looks to women that don't breastfeed at all.

    Great job on 19 months.

My problem is...how will I wean her? she loves it too much. (yes, and so do I )

Just wait and see what your friends think when you have a magic cure for 2yo tantrums Being able to bf an older child when they are ill or upset makes life so much easier.
    Yup!

Still feeding my 19 month old too! I've never had a negative reaction so I'm lucky I guess. But I fed my DS until he was 2.5yrs, so to me this still seems like early days! It really is a great bonus for tantrums and illness!

    Well done to you!
