My DS is 6.5 months and still bf. I find he CAN go longer between feeds if I need him too and can have water or solids to "tide him over" when I'm not available. My supply has settled down heaps too - so I don't seem to get engorged if I miss a feed. I think it would be doable to be a BM and have a bf bub.
