    Breastfeeding, fertility and pregnancy signs...

I'm not sure if this is all in my head... (it probably is- I just need to ramble to someone)

My DS2 is 8.5 months and we are still feeding overnight (1-3 times) I haven't had my period return (it returned at 6mths with DS1) and no obvious signs of fertility. Over the last week or so I've been feeling "off", dry mouth, tired etc.
My usual first symptoms are sore boobs, I don't have this and my supply is still great and DS isn't fussing etc

Anyone fall pg while BF without a cycle return? What were your signs?

I'm too chicken to POAS, we certainly aren't TTC but have been relying on my bf and lack of cycle and history of not falling easily... I joke we are using the abstinence method (we are both so tired) but have DTD a few times in the last month... I have two very "full on" little boys and I'm a bit horrified at the prospect of being pg, which is definitely a new feeling as usually I'm desperate

I fell pregnancy with DD2 when DD1 was 10 odd weeks old. We too used the abstinence method except for one occasion and bingo! I just knew. I didn't have any symptoms and given Miss I's health issues I was already ridiculously tired all the time, having feeding issues etc so none of the usual things would have been noticed. I just knew it so one Sunday afternoon I did a test and then bawled for the next two hours. I went for a dating scan given I'd had no AF back again and was expecting to be a good three months along given how sure I had been. I was 5 weeks so I basically knew immediately I conceived.

Big hugs to you. I know pregnancies are blessings, especially when you've had a loss/es but I still remember the utter devastation I felt at the sight of those two little lines. FWIW, it was a tough slog but I look at my now 4.5 odd year old and can't imagine it having been any other way.

I saw an episode of I Didn't Know I was Pregnant the other day (I know, quality viewing ) and this exact thing happened.

Amaunet- I was in a similar situation 21 weeks ago- although I had AF back. I just 'knew' I was pg, and did a test on the Tuesday- negative. So relived as DS2 was only 6mo. Still felt pg, symptoms got stronger- tested on the Saturday and BFP. I am now 21w pg with a little girl! Still terrified at how it's going to work but I'll take that as it comes. Best of luck xxc

Thanks Yas, being pg wouldnt be terrible, just not what I would choose at the moment iykwim.

I bought a 3 pack of HPT (and have hidden them from DH who would be horrified!) I'll try and get the courage to test tomorrow... That said, I felt good tonight so I don't actually think I'm UTD
